Conrad Smith
Chief Executive Officer/President, FCS, inc.
Conrad Smith currently serves as the CEO and majority owner of FCS, Inc., the parent company of FCS Janitorial Services, FCS Industrial Solutions, and FCS Restoration. As the oldest son of FCS, Inc. founder Buddy Smith, Conrad has seen the company grow from a small local janitorial company with about ten employees into a wide ranging service company with customers across 18 states and nearly 200 staff members since joining the operation in 2005.
Smith is a 2003 graduate of Danville Community College, a 2005 graduate of Averett University with a degree in Political Science, and a 2006 graduate of Johnson Diversey’s Building Service Contracting Institute in Racine, Wisconsin. In 2009, Smith received designation as a Certified Building Services Executive (CBSE) through the Building Service Contractors Association. He continues his industry education by attending national conferences and training sessions twice a year. Smith oversees all daily operations for FCS, Inc. and its divisions.
Conrad resides in Danville with his wife, Kim, and children Logan and Brianna. He supports a number of charitable organizations in and around the community both personally and through FCS. Debbie Fewell
Estimator/Division Manager, FCS Restoration
Debbie Fewell (Birckhead) joined FCS, Inc. in 2018 after serving 33 years with State Farm. Fewell earned her Associate of Claims designation from the Insurance Institute of America. She is a Western Albemarle HS graduate.
At State Farm, Fewell made thousands of property inspections and processed just as many claims. Her depth of experience includes home inspections for simple water leaks and house mold to whole house fires caused by burning cigarettes, kitchen fires, or electrical failures. She has processed wind damage, lightning strikes, and hail damage. On a few occasions, she has even processed claims for automobiles crashing through house walls.
At FCS, Inc., Fewell applies her experience in solving insurance issues for many homeowners who have never filed a previous claim. Initial claims can be very overwhelming. Fewell makes the insurance process much easier for the homeowner, and ensures the ‘unknown and unexpected’ issues aren’t as scary as they sound.
Dale Hampton
Project Foreman, FCS Restoration
Dale Hampton joined FCS, Inc. in 2019 with over 30 years of demolition and construction experience. Of that time, 27 years has been as foreman or serving in project management. Hampton is very comfortable directing a large crew, knowledgeable working with subcontractors, and accommodating with architects and homeowners. He is a Tunstall High School graduate.
Hampton’s project experience includes working with some of the most expensive homes ($500,000+) in and around Southside, Virginia. Fire damage is the most challenging of household disasters. Fire damage recovery is also where he excels. Insurance companies and homeowners like working with him as he keeps within budget and delivers restored homes on deadline.

He graduated as valedictorian from Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Virginia, before attending The College of William and Mary, graduating with high honors and a degree in history.
Prior to joining FCS, Inc., he spent several years working in operations for a large international patent law firm in northern Virginia.
